Comfortable day of cruising

Aldermaston Marina is located on the 87-mile-long Kennet and Avon canal which links London and the Bristol channel.

A comfortable day of cruising to the West will take you to the Market town of Newbury, on the edge of the Berkshire Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Countless traditional villages and Canalside pubs await as you head further west through Berkshire and Wiltshire. For the more adventurous 2-weekers, beautiful Bath can be reached as you approach the end of the Kennet and Avon.

Heading East from Aldermaston, the bustling town of Reading can be reached in a day. Pick up the Thames from here and head north to Oxford. Or why not continue East through one of the most beautiful towns in England, the rowing capital of Henley. Finish at Windsor for a trip to the castle, or even Legoland for the young (or young at heart).
