Located on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal on the outskirts of the village of Alvechurch Worcestershire, Alvechurch Marina is conveniently found next to the railway station. From here you can set out to explore the Worcester and Birmingham canal network with amazing stops at Stratford-upon-Avon, Tewkesbury and Worcester.
The Black Country Ring, one of several routes available, will take you to Birmingham, the Black Country Museum where you can live the story of the Black Country, Dudley Zoo and Castle, Drayton Manor Park and Shugborough Hall. There’s so much choice, you’ll want to return and try a different route each time.
The Weighbridge Pub at the marina was once the old weighbridge office for offloading coal barges to horse and cart for local deliveries. Now you can enjoy its cosy interior or canalside garden with reasonably priced bar food and a great selection of real ales.
