is a great base for discovering England’s natural beauty, wildlife and historic towns and cities.
Our most southerly marina, from here you get to explore towns such as Bristol, the delightful city of Bath with its Roman and Georgian architecture and the medieval town of Bradford on Avon. Moor up and wander the paths through Savernake Forest, which was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Rich in history, a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a registered important historic park, you can marvel at the outstanding legacy of old trees, rich landscapes and diverse habitats and admire one of the country’s oldest trees – the Big Bellied Oak.
There are a number of routes; you choose how far you want to go. Head West and the cities of Bath and Bristol, and the architectural treasure chest of Bradford on Avon await you. To the east, the market and racecourse town of Newbury, Caen Hill flight of locks, the pretty village of Pewsey and the Berkshire towns of Reading and Hungerford are there to be enjoyed.
There’s a souvenir and extensive chandlery shop on site. The secure main car park is only 75 metres from the marina and Trowbridge Railway Station only 2 miles. Locally, you have all the services and facilities you would expect in a town.
The professional and friendly staff are waiting to welcome you to Hilperton Marina and help you enjoy your canalboat holiday.
